Take a tumble Down the Rabbit Hole this Third Friday with the timely debut of Alice in Wonderland-inspired composite photography installation by nationally-renowned artist Tama Hochbaum.
Fittingly trippy, Hochbaum’s photographs take us for a whimsical ride through Alice’s world, along the way encountering a talking caterpillar, a tart-stealing knave, and a Cheshire cat that can disappear and reappear in the blink of an eye. The images hint at a richly textured fantasy world that honors the 19th-century fairy tale while incorporating bits of her trademark style—and her daughter—in a starring role.
Don your tea party finest, delight in some sweets from Danielle Baker, and spend some time traipsing through ROOM 100. Installation runs through April 14.
In The Cotton Room, join fellow American Dance Festival (ADF) fans as the 2010 ADF season "What is Dance Theater?" is unveiled!
